About me.
Hello everyone! My name is Karina Salomon, I am a first generation college student (graduating June 2015), I am passionate about agriculture, education, and people! The idea behind this website is to help teachers find a way to increase Hispanic student participation. I am very passionate about this topic because I come from a traditional Mexican household and I saw first hand the struggles Hispanic students face in school, especially after school activities.
I joined the Futures Farmers of America program in 2009 during my junior year in high school. The program taught me responsibility, leadership, and most importantly allowed me to pursue higher education. I give my Agriculture teacher credit for constantly pushing me to participate. Without his support I would not be where I am today.
Which is why.......
I have create this website! I hope to provide teachers with helpful hints on how to increase hispanic student participation.
